Effective July 29, 2026
Traveling Portrait ("Traveling Portrait," "we," "us") builds portfolio websites for photographers and helps them sell prints of their work. This policy explains what information we collect across that product, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to three groups of people: photographers who run a paid Traveling Portrait site ("photographers"), the people who visit a photographer's site or place a print order ("visitors" or "clients"), and people who use travelingportrait.com itself.
When you create a Traveling Portrait account, we collect your email address, your chosen subdomain or custom domain, billing details processed by Stripe (see Section 3), and the content you upload or configure — photos, captions, taglines, navigation links, and contact information you choose to display on your site.
When someone orders a print through your site, we collect the name, email address, phone number, and shipping address they enter at checkout, and pass it to our print lab, WHCC, so they can produce and ship the order. We store this order information so you and your client can track it.
If you use a private proofing gallery, we store the photo selections your client makes and notify you by email when they start selecting. We don't require your client to create an account to do this.
When someone views a photographer's site, we record aggregate, first-party engagement events — page views, photo views, and "Order Print" clicks — tied to the site and photo involved, so the photographer can see how their gallery is performing. We don't log visitor IP addresses, use third-party ad or tracking pixels, or sell this data to anyone.
If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit, so we can reply to you.
We do not use your data to serve ads, and we do not sell personal information to third parties.
We use a small number of service providers to run Traveling Portrait, each of which only receives the data it needs to do its job:
We don't share your information with anyone else, except where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Traveling Portrait, our users, or the public.
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in to your dashboard. It's set when you log in and expires after 30 days of inactivity. We don't use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We keep your account and site data for as long as your subscription is active. If you reset your site, its photos and navigation are removed immediately and we email you a confirmation. If you delete your account, your site and personal data are permanently removed and your subscription is canceled; we also email you a confirmation of that deletion. Print order records are kept for as long as needed to resolve any order issues, then removed.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Photographers can manage most of this directly from their dashboard. For anything else — including requests from a photographer's client — contact us at info@travelingportrait.co and we'll handle it directly.
We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections, hashed session tokens, and access-controlled infrastructure — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to respond quickly if that ever changes.
Traveling Portrait is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Our infrastructure and service providers are located in the United States. If you're accessing Traveling Portrait from outside the U.S., your information will be processed there.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify photographers by email.
